June 8th, 2010Feels like me tonight… Picture was taken Friday, poem written all the way back in 2005. Wish I had a recent photo of a houseboat, but alas, I don’t. :(
Rock Me, Water

I lay on my back looking gracefully up to the sky…
Viewing the stars as closely as I can…
They sparkle and glisten in the dark night.
I’m secretly hoping for a shooting star…
But knowing my luck, I could never be that lucky.
I close my green eyes and imagine
that I am on the roof of a houseboat.
Just letting the boat rock me back and fourth…
literally to sleep.
There, then, that’s when I dream of what I really need.
I need something, an emotion, that goes directly to my heart…
Speaking to it – about love, memories, the little things.
I need you to rock me, water…
and let me see a shooting star.
Prove to me that my dreams have come true.
