Hello guys. Once again, I write. And, once again, I’m taking advantage of this moment to write. I haven’t been able to write this much in a long, long time (pre-ebook, that is). I don’t ever remember updating my blog as much as this, either. Enjoy the photos and poems following. It’s just getting to be that time where I wish it were October and I wish we were in Philadelphia on vacation. That time will hopefully come soon once again. I need to walk on Market Street once again and pray in the Christ Church and hang out outside of it… and just enjoy the historical places that I love so much.

Both poems written by me.

Hold my hand as we take a walk down
Elfreth’s Alley.
It’s a beautiful alley, one of the oldest around.

Oh George Washington – the days of you
and your politics and the beginning of history
is so on my mind.

What’s happening here now?
The documents you have written
are most being destroyed by the greedy.

Hello sir. How are you sir?
Hello ma’am. How are the children?
Come walk with me and you can tell me.

I’m glad they’re doing well.
Isn’t this walk a beautiful one?
Philly in October is gorgeous.

I feel like slipping on my best dress,
and pretending that it’s the olden days,
the days of 1700s, the days of.

A cup of coffee is in my hand,
but not from Starbucks
from a mom and pop shop down the street.

Insert Market Street.
The best street around,
the street that has everything you’d ever need.

Friendly faces on either side,
windows wide open,
letting the fall breeze whip through the shops.

We walk,
and the wind blows my hair.
Boy do I ever love Philadelphia in October.

History lies around every where.
The passion of the beginning,
the love from the city of brotherly love.

What’s your favorite part of history
or place in this beautiful city?
Oh really? That’s great.

I’m so glad we had this lovely talk
while we walked.
I’m going to miss these days.
