The Queen

The Queen

The Queen -
she properly sits there
on her throne.
She looks at you, uneasy.
She doesn’t have a good feeling
while you’re around.
Upon request of her gut feeling,
she looks you up
and finds some dirt you never buried.
When you stand before her:
you shake all over,
as you should.
She stares you down,
she knows all of your dirty little secrets.
Every single one of them.
“I want you to get out of here. Leave.”
She retreats and stares blankly,
as she watches you pack your bags.
She has no regrets
throwing you out of
the kingdom, her kingdom.
It’s a much better place
without you here.
And, a more honest and clean one at that.
